Airport
I found an internet site at the airport, so I'm practicing uploading photos from different computers. The problem is that I can't 'save as' to shrink the photo for the internet, so I don't know if this will work. It might be too big & I may have to delete the post & try again somewhere else. I'm just getting ready to board the plane for LA. Hoping I have time to get a coffee first. Later, Steph

the picture worked fine, 143kb.
you probably wont need to compress any of the pictures you take to post them, the photo FAQ here says:
'When you upload an image, it is resampled and resized according to the size you choose in the upload form. This lets it take up less space on the server. You can fill up to 300 MB of server space with images.'
so apparently any pictures you post here are automatically compressed/resized as they're uploaded.
anyway, hope the flight went well and you find your way around Prague alright, have fun :)

Thanks for the info. Some that I've tried to load before took forever & didn't work, so I wasn't sure. How much is 300 MB's? Will we fill it up soon, between the three of us?
well, assuming your pictures compress down to 200kb each, like the airport one I took, you should be able to fit 1500. if they only get down to 300kb you still have room for 1000, so I doubt you'll run out of space any time soon :)
